Letter from Dr. Dramov

At Dramov Naturopathic Medical Center, you will be treated as an individual with unique health needs. We understand that no two people are exactly the same. Health and disease are conditions based on your whole body, involving a complex interaction of physical, mental, emotional, dietary, genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors. The beauty of naturopathic medicine is that we can use specific diagnostic techniques that will determine exactly how your body’s critical systems are functioning. From these initial diagnostic test results, we can design a treatment plan that will be most effective for your specific condition.

First and foremost, I am a teacher. And like any teacher-student relationship, the end result always comes down to the student wanting to learn. No one can make you want to live a healthy and disease-free life. Therefore, I will always do my best to empower you to take responsibility for your own health and wellness through education, encouragement, and motivation from results you will see and feel.

Naturopathic medicine is based on the powerful inherent ability of the body to establish, maintain, and restore itself back to health. My role is to facilitate and augment this natural process, to identify and remove any obstacles unique to your body, and to help create a healthy support environment both internally and externally.

The first step after diagnosis is to use safe, non-invasive, natural therapies that complement your body’s own healing mechanisms. Surprisingly, most symptoms that arise from illness or disease are the result of your body following its own natural healing process, which is beneficial to restoring your health. Therefore, methods designed to suppress symptoms without identifying underlying causes are considered harmful and are avoided or minimized as best possible. Symptoms do not cause illness and disease; therefore, they should not be treated like an illness or disease.

Illness and disease do not happen without a cause. Fortunately, naturopathic medicine has many modern day-techniques for finding root causes of illness and disease, whether they stem from physical, mental, dietary, or lifestyle factors. Once the root cause of a disease or illness is determined, we have several treatments to attack the problem at the source, including lifestyle recommendations, dietary interventions, physical medicine, nutritional supplementation, botanical medicine, homeopathic medicine, IV therapies and injections, and even prescription medication.

Of course, the best possible treatment is prevention. There is a huge difference between “not being sick” and “optimum health.” I can show you how to achieve optimum health in all areas of your life, but you have to want optimum health! Even though you may not be sick or have any symptoms, if you don’t learn about the risk factors associated with your body’s dietary, genetic, and lifestyle factors, long-term problems can already be working against you with no visible signs. I will educate you on which potential long-term illnesses or diseases you have the greatest risk of developing, so we can make the appropriate interventions to help stop any developing illnesses or diseases.

In the end, you will find that spending just a little extra time focusing on optimum health right now will be far more advantageous and inexpensive than waiting to fight disease later in life.

Sincerely,

Dr. Rob Dramov
